Sometimes foundation is not enough

Sometimes foundation is enough to cover undereye circles. However, if the circles are dark, foundation (because it tends to be transparent) isn’t usually enough. This is where concealer will deliver better coverage.

Concealer works so well because it is made of a denser composition than most other cosmetics. Therefore, it has more staying power. However, it’s not meant to be a cover-the-entire-face product. Use caution, because a little goes a long way. Colors for concealer come in a variety of shades and should usually be a shade lighter to match the skin. However, golden-toned concealers, such as Motives® Amber Crème Concealer (003MC), counteract purplish circles and end up looking like natural skin.

It is recommended to apply concealer after foundation to make sure you apply extra coverage where you may need it and to avoid applying too much. You will want to blend for a natural look.

Using a small brush (like the one in the Motives® 15-Piece Professional Brush Set), dab or lightly draw onto the area you wish to conceal. Blend well into the skin and then set with powder. Use Motives® Mineral Dual Foundation, Motives® Full Coverage Photo Finish Powder, Motives® Luminous Translucent Loose or Pressed Powder or Motives® Mineral Pressed Powder.
